Treganza Heritage Park Dedication and Park/Museum Open House – October 9 at 10:00 am

The Treganza Heritage Park Dedication will take place at the former Civic Center Park at 10am followed by festivities in the park, including:

Dedication ceremonies will feature the arrival of Treganza descendants in historic transportation provided by the San Diego Horseless Carriage Club, an invocation by Dr. John Warren, singers from the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir, our own Lemon Grove Girl Scout Troop 6786, 2021 winners from the 31st Annual Treganza History Essay Competition for Grade 3,  and conclude with an unveiling of the new Treganza Heritage Park signs by Treganza family members.

Park/Museum Open House will feature an antique auto show of fabulous cars from the San Diego Model A Club, lawn games and activities for children, a taco truck and coffee cart to purchase food and refreshments, outreach tables from local civic groups, AND… both of the Lemon Grove Historical Society’s’ historic buildings, the Parsonage Museum and H. Lee House Cultural Center, will be open to the public from 11:30 to 2:00 pm. The Parsonage Museum will feature a special exhibit on the Treganza Family and the H. Lee House will have a special display of LGHS Archives.

The entire event is free and open to the public.  Come share this special moment with the Lemon Grove Historical Society and the citizens of Lemon Grove.  This is an outdoor event with the exception of entrance into the Parsonage Museum and the H. Lee House Cultural Center.
