 The LGHS Presents Its Free Lecture Series HISTORY ALIVE November 5, 2026

Featuring Bob Adams and His Years Fighting Fire in Lemon Grove

Come and experience History Alive on November 5th at 7 pm.  Bob Adams served the citizens of Lemon Grove from 1958 to the early 1980’s. He was part of the Fire Protection District and was the first Fire Chief for the newly created City of Lemon Grove in 1977.  Hear words of wisdom from his years of experience with a recent example of local fire management. 

History Alive is a free Lecture Series presented by the Lemon Grove Historical Society. Lectures are held at the H. Lee House Cultural Center on the 1st Thursday of the month. H. Lee House is located at 3205 Olive St. in the Treganza Heritage Park where there is ample, well-lit parking.   History Alive is suitable for ages 16 and over.

    President - Lemon Grove Historical Society
    Laura has been a Lemon Grove resident since 1981 serving as Secretary on the historical society board and as a docent in the Parsonage Museum when not volunteering in other capacities. She and her husband, John, raised two children in town, prompting Laura to volunteer as PTA President of San Miguel Elementary and Helix Charter High School. She served as PTA Council President for the Lemon Grove School District. Laura served as a Lemon Grove Planning Commissioner, participant in various civic workshops, and somehow found time to pursue a career as a Kaiser Hospital Unit Coordinator. Along with her presidential duties, Laura is the LGHS liaison to the San Diego Museum Council.
