Busy Bee’s & LGHS Create Pollinator Gardens at Treganza Heritage Park

Busy Bee CO-OP and Lemon Grove Historical Society aim to ensure that Treganza Heritage Park will BEE A BUZZ this spring. On February 25, with direction from Chelsea Gastelum and Juliet DiAmicis, founders of Lemon Grove’s Busy Bees, volunteers from LGHS and the community planted the beginnings of a pollinator garden out front of the Parsonage Museum. Come Spring our little Lemon Grove pollinators will be having brunch at The Treganza Park Community Gardens, lunching on our new plot at the Parsonage Museum and then perhaps taking afternoon tea at the Lemon Grove Bistro back garden. All are projects orchestrated by Busy Bees to bring much needed plant and pollinator diversity back to our city.  Lemon Grove, once considered the citrus mecca of the west is returning to its roots, one project at a time.
