Ken Kramer features Treganza Heritage Park Dedication in his latest installment of
“All About San Diego” Public TV Series

Ken Kramer is the much-praised chronicler of the folklore and “people history” of San Diego County in his weekly public TV series, “About San Diego.” On Oct. 9 he covered the dedication of Treganza Heritage Park in Lemon Grove and included footage from his 1996 interview with Dr. Amorita Treganza, whose father Alberto Treganza designed the Big Lemon. Dr. Amorita rode on the Lemon on its maiden voyage on July 4,1928 when it was a float in the Fiesta de San Diego parade. She also helped to plaster the 3,000-pound civic icon. The Lemon Grove Historical Society (LGHS) and the City of Lemon Grove joined forces to name the midtown park.  Click here is see the episode 88 of “All About San Diego” which originally aired on January 13 of this year.
